My 2022 Sauvignon Blanc was awarded SILVER at TEXSOM Awards that is now the preeminent Wine Competition in the U.S. It enlists the expertise and wisdom of judges from around the world and a professional production team to ensure accuracy and care for every beverage entered in the competition. The organization was founded in 2005 to help promote professional wine service standards, outline paths for further beverage education and certification, and raise public awareness about professional standards and certifications for sommeliers.
2022 SAUVIGNON BLANC COMMENDED IN LONDON, ENGLAND
My 2022 Sauvignon Blanc was awarded at COMMENDATION at the International Wine Challenge, in London, England. Arguably the world’s most rigorous, impartial and influential wine competition with wines tasted by a minimum of 12 international wine experts in two rounds of judging. This marks the third year in a row that my Sauvignon Blanc has received an award in this competition.
2022 SAUVIGNON BLANC - SCORE 90 - DAVID LAWRASON, WINE ALIGN
Such an honour to receive this stellar review from one of Canada’s most respected and esteemed Canadian Wine Writers.
“This is a nicely made sauvignon with good weight, texture and balance. The nose shows fairly lifted and well integrated lemon, fresh dill, apricot and background pine. It is light to medium weight, with a piquant, green finish. The length is very good to excellent.” Score 90 - David Lawrason, Wine Align
DREA'S 2019 SAUVIGNON BLANC MARKED AS -DISTINGUISHED- BY JANCIS ROBINSON
What an honour to have my 2019 Sauvignon Blanc scored as DISTINGUISHED by world renowned wine writer Jancis Robinson. She is described by Decanter Magazine as “the most respected wine critic and journalist in the world," a sentiment my father Karl J. Kaiser, also shared. Her notes; “Ripe and opulent and obviously Sauvignon Blanc. Lots of substance to this wine. Well done! Green and grassy and its own master. Not a copy of any other Sauvignon Blanc style.”
The latter part of the note is really the highest of compliments, and most meaningful to me, as it reminds me of my father’s winemaking philosophy which was rooted in the authenticity of his wines. He was absolutely opposed to the idea of trying to replicate any wine from around the world. He was a true pioneer who understood that Canadian wines must have their own identity and always wanted his wines to simply be considered on merit and taste.
